Coco GauffCori "Coco" Gauff is an American professional tennis player who has quickly established herself as one of the most exciting and dominant figures on the WTA Tour. Born in 2004, she burst onto the international scene at the age of 15 when she defeated her heroine, Venus Williams, at Wimbledon in 2019. This explosive debut paved the way to a career marked by raw athleticism and stoic competitive temperament.
Gauff has since established herself as among the sport's top players, winning two Grand Slam singles titles. Her first professional career win was at the 2023 US Open, where she defeated Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling final to become the youngest American female champion since Serena Williams in 1999. She added a second Grand Slam to her collection at the 2025 French Open by defeating Sabalenka in the final once again. Gauff has also enjoyed significant success in doubles, winning the 2024 French Open doubles title with partner Kateřina Siniaková.
Apart from her Grand Slam titles, Gauff has also won some other notable top-level titles, including the 2023 Cincinnati Open, and the 2024 WTA Finals, where she is the youngest winner since 2004's Maria Sharapova. Two-time Olympian Gauff represented the United States in the 2024 Paris Games and was the United States' youngest flag bearer in history at the opening ceremony. She also won the French Open in 2025 and reached the finals of the Italian Open and Madrid Open and became one of the greatest tennis players in the world.
