The Eagles are an iconic American country rock band formed in 1971 in Los Angeles, CA. Founding members include Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals), and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals). Future well known members would include Joe Walsh and Don Felder. Over the years, they’ve had 5 number one singles and 6 number one albums. Awards include 6 Grammys and 5 American Music Awards.

They debuted with the album Eagles in 1972 which spawned their first hits “Take It Easy” and “Witchy Woman”, both of which cracked the top 20. Their next few album releases produced top 40 hits including “Desperado”, “Already Gone” and “Best of My Love”, which hit #1 in both the US and Canada. Released in 1976, Greatest Hits would go on to become the best selling album in the US with sales of 38 million. Later that year, they released the iconic album Hotel California, which is the third best selling album ever with 26 million in sales. It features the rock classic “Hotel California” along with “New Kid In Town”, both of which reached #1 on the charts. T

They would continue through the 70’s with several more hit songs and broke up in 1980. They reunited in 1994 for a new album release, as well as several other albums sporadically through the early 2000’s. They have sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands and have been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Fleetwood
Formed in 1967, Fleetwood Mac is a rock band consisting of both British and American members, led by drummer Mick Fleetwood. They had several initial hits off their early albums, including “Albatross” , “Oh Well”, and “Man of the World”. By 1974, a few key members had left the band but were joined by new members Lindsey Buckingham (guitar) and Stevie Nicks (vocals), leading them to a more pop-rock sound and international success. They released the album Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and it reached #1 in the US.

The 1977 release Rumours would become their most successful album and one of the best-selling in history, with over 40 million units sold. The album contains four #1 hits: “Dreams”, “Don’t Stop”, “Go Your Own Way” and “You Make Loving Fun”. The rest of the album would get significant airplay and earn them a Grammy for Album of the Year. Rumours is 8th on the best-selling albums worldwide. Their follow-up album was Tusk, a double record with three top 20 hits: “Tusk”, “Sara” and “Think About Me”.

By the late 1980’s, the band started to crumble with a rotating lineup of band members. In 1997, they released The Dance, a live greatest hits compilation, which became their fourth #1 album. They’ve sold over 120 million records, have a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and have been nominated for and won several Grammys, AMA and Brit Awards.
