Madonna and Michael Jackson are two international mega-stars, wth their peak fame and success coming in the 1980’s - 90’s. They were good friends and even attempted to collaborate on Jackson’s song “In The Closet”, although due to artistic differences, the collaboration got called off.
Michael JacksonMichael Jackson was an American singer and songwriter. Michael Jackson was born on August 29th, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. Jackson was known in pop culture as the "King of Pop", and entered the world of music at the young age of 5. When he was a child, Michael was the lead singer for family group the Jackson 5, where he and his 8 other siblings sang together. The Jackson 5 was popular in the 1960s and 1970s, but Michael began a solo career in 1971 at the age of 13.
He debuted his first solo album called, Ben in 1972. In 1979, MJ released Off the Wall, which included his popular song "Rock with You", and Grammy Award single "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". In 1982, Jackson released his best selling album in history, Thriller. Thriller won 8 Grammys and 12 Grammy Nominations. In 1983, Jackson showed off his "not famous at the time" dance move, the Moonwalk, on a television show. Jackson had a numerous number of extremely successful albums and songs such as "Beat It' and "Billie Jean", and even had albums Michael, and Xscape, released after his death.
Michael’s first wife was Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis' daughter, in 1994, but they divorced in 1996. In late 1996, Jackson remarried Debbie Rowe, where they had their children Michael Joseph "Prince" Jackson, and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. After their divorce in 1999, Jackson had a third child, Prince Michael "Blanket" Jackson II with a surrogate whose identity is unknown. Jackson had many allegations of plastic surgery, vitiligo, and child molestation. These allegations caused his reputation and career to decline. Jackson died June 25th, 2009 of drug overdose.

She was listed as one of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time by Rolling Stone. Madonna has raked in over $1.5 billion in revenue from her tours throughout the years, and has become one of the highest grossing solo tour artists
