Simon CowellSimon Phillip Cowell is a well known English television personality and record executive. Born in London, England in 1959, Cowell is well versed with both American and English societies. He began his career in the 1980s as a record producer, and after some success in that field he got an offer and moved career paths to become a presence on television shows.
Throughout his producing days, Cowell has taken in many well known artists and bands and helped them create chart-topping songs. He has worked with names like James Arthur, Fifth Harmony, Labrinth, and One Direction. Cowell was briefly present on multiple British talent shows such as Pop Idol, The X Factor UK, and Britain's Got Talent which he is still present on. But he has also made his presence known in the United States. Cowell has served on the judging panel for shows American Idol, The X Factor US, and America’s Got Talent which he is also still currently a judge on.
Cowell was named on the the most 100 influential people in the world by Time in 2004 and also 2010. In 2018 he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for television. Cowell is well known for his snarky and brutally honest remarks towards contestants on his shows, and he often draws viewers in for this.

Ryan SeacrestRyan Seacrest is an American TV host and producer. Seacrest was born on December 24th, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia. Seacrest told the New York Times that he had his first broadcasting job in high school, where he "handled the school announcements.” He later got an internship at a radio station in Atlanta, which eventually landed him his first "on air" gig. Seacrest attended the University of Georgia for college. In the 90's, Seacrest moved to Los Angeles, where he hosted his own afternoon radio show, Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home, until 2004. In 2003, Seacrest also began hosting another one of his own shows, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, both which grew in popularity. In 2004, Seacrest became the host of American Top 40. In 2002, Seacrest landed a deal with television show American Idol, where he was a co-host for the first year, but then later became the single host for the rest of the seasons. In 2005, Seacrest began working on hosting parts of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. During this year, Seacrest began hosting E! News, where he remained until 2011. In 2012 when Dick Clark passed, Seacrest took over as the host for the now New Year's Rockin' Eve. Seacrest also held major roles behind the camera, producing popular television shows such as Keeping Up the Kardashians, and Food Revolution with Ryan Seacrest Productions. Seacrest earned an Emmy Award for Food Revolution. In 2012, Seacrest, Mark Cuban, Creative Artists Agency and AGE started Ryan Seacrest Media, where they also released the television channel AXS TV.
