The game has been critically acclaimed for its multiplayer features, which created a large competitive community and inclusion in some tournaments. The gameplay consists of players attempting to get their opponent off the stage and out of bounds (like Sumo wrestling), rather than deplete their health. Controls are also very much simplified compared to other fighting games.
