Spider-ManSpider-Man first swung onto the pages of Marvel Comics in 1962 and quickly became one of the most relatable superheroes ever created. Behind the mask is Peter Parker, an ordinary teenager who suddenly gains extraordinary powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. While he possesses incredible strength, agility, and the ability to cling to walls, Spider-Man's greatest challenge has always been balancing the responsibilities of being a hero with the struggles of everyday life.
One of Spider-Man's biggest strengths is how human he feels. He deals with school, work, relationships, loss, and financial struggles while still finding the courage to protect others. The BatmanThe Batman is an American Action/Adventure film released in 2022 and directed by Matt Reeves. The 2022 film is about the well known DC Comics character Batman. The film stars Robert Pattinson playing Bruce Wayne, or “Batman,” Paul Dano, Zoe Kravtiz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, and Peter Sarsgaard. The film follows Batman’s two years of service within Gotham City uncovering corruption. His journey follows his pursuit of Riddler, played by Dano, a serial killer who targets the elites within Gotham City. The Batman was originally going to be directed and played by Ben Affleck, who quickly developed reservations towards the movie and backed out, allowing Reeves to take over. Reeves took the movie in more of an investigative direction and removed the connections to the DC Extended Universe. Film production began in the United Kingdom in January 2020, but was quickly halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming was able to come to a finish in Chicago in March 2021, just a few months before the original release date. The Batman was officially released in March of 2022 and was the seventh highest grossing film of 2022. There is already talk of a Batman shared universe, along with two sequels and two spin-off television series.
