The Bachelorette war isn't just about roses — it's about who best represents the new face of the franchise. Taylor Frankie Paul, the TikTok-famous "MomTok" influencer whose messy, relatable, and scandal-marred image is a lightning rod for drama, is one such challenger. Joining the ranks, she's a new breed of reality celebrity: unapologetic, internet-bred, and inescapable. On the other hand, Jenn Tran, the first Asian-American franchise lead, who embodies tradition and revolution. Tran finds the middle ground between the love the show was built on and the aspect of representation, with a gentler yet no less powerful voice. One embodies chaos and destabilization, the other cultural shift and composure. The answer is simple: who is the true face of The Bachelorette in 2025?
Taylor Frankie Paul
Taylor Frankie Paul is an American reality television star and social media influencer who made a splash with her unapologetic online persona and for her role as a cast member on Hulu's "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives". She first made mainstream popular fame as one of the "MomTok" TikTok girls, a collective of Mormon stay-at-home moms who shared their lives with audiences. Her 2022 life was a controversy and media spotlight topic following her exposure of a "soft-swinging" affair within her friend group, to which led to a high-profile divorce.

Her process through this personal meltdown and her subsequent relationships have been documented on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives", where she is currently a main subject. The series has been tracking her as she coparents and lives out in the public eye.

In a large and record-breaking move for the franchise, on September 10, 2025, Taylor Frankie Paul was revealed to be Season 22's next Bachelorette. The reveal came in an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. This is the first time in the program's history that the lead has been a public personality who is not an alumna of "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette". The selection is an attempt to move in a new direction for the franchise, trying to attract a new viewer demographic by casting a lead with a pre-existing fanbase and a compelling, and sometimes controversial, life story.
Jenn Tran
Jenn Tran is a reality television personality and physician assistant applicant who was the first Asian-American bachelorette lead on "The Bachelorette". She originally appeared on Season 28 of "The Bachelor", where she competed for the heart of Joey Graziadei and finished fifth. Her quick wit and infectious sense of humor quickly made her a fan favorite even though she finished before the final rose ceremony.

Following her time on "The Bachelor", Jenn was announced as the Season 21 lead for "The Bachelorette" during the "After the Final Rose" special on March 25, 2024. The announcement was met with an overflow of excitement from fans and fellow members of Bachelor Nation, who embraced the historical casting. During her summer 2024 season, she embarked on her own quest for love.

Her own season concluded on September 3, 2024, in a surprising and unprecedented way. She gave Devin Strader, the owner of a trucking business, her final rose and, in a twist from the usual, asked him to marry her. They did not work out as a couple, though, as Jenn dumped them on the live "After the Final Rose" episode, stating that Devin had broken up with her over the phone. After her season, she was cast as a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars", in which she was paired with professional dancer Sasha Farber and they finished in seventh place.
