Tiger WoodsTiger Woods is considered one of the greatest golfers of all time. He was born in 1975 in California and started playing golf at a very young age. Taught by his father, Earl, he started competing at the age of six. He gained attention as an amateur, winning several titles between 1994-1996. He was the youngest player to win the Masters Tournament at the age of 21 in 1997. While winning the prestigious competition, he set several records including the lowest score ever to win the tournament. He’s tied for 2nd place for the most PGA Tour event victories, with 82 wins. He has won all of the major tournaments multiple times, including 3 U.S. Opens, 4 Masters, 4 PGA Championships and 3 Open Championships. Over recent years, he has had several health issues including three back surgeries and knee problems. He took a break from touring briefly in 2010 and 2021. His personal life has been marred with controversy, including a public scandal that revealed his extramarital affairs. His impact on golf has been great, inspiring many others to take up golf and increasing interest in televised golf events.

He was picked in the 7thround of the 2000 NFL draft by the New England Patriots. Once he was made the starter of the Patriots, he took them to his first Super Bowl win in 2002. He went on to lead them to six more Super Bowl championships, the most by any quarterback in the NFL. He also holds the record for most Super Bowl MVP awards, with five. He’s known for his intense training and dedication to the game. He has played well long into his 40’s, which is unusual for any football player. He has faced some criticism and controversy over the years. There was a scandal involving a tampered deflated football during the 2015 playoffs, known as “Deflategate”. As a result, he was suspended for four games in 2016. Despite this, he is still considered among the best and most inspirational players ever.
